Sleigh Bells Follow-Up

On a day when new records were released by such indie heavyweights as The National and Jack White, much of the press is being stolen by Brooklyn newcomers Sleigh Bells who, as discussed in a previous post, released their debut LP Treats today (digital only).  It is disturbingly awesome; listen and you will agree that it seems impossible for such a big sound to come from a band that appears to be composed of Elektra, Andy Bernard, and a Macintosh.  Pretty soon you'll be hearing them everywhere from Brooklyn Bowl to the Cotton Bowl, so jump on the bandwagon now.  Included below are two songs from Treats (the entire record can be heard over at NPR, downloaded at your preferred download site, or pre-ordered from Insound), as well as two live performances from their recent show at SXSW.

Sleigh Bells - Riot Rhythm

Sleigh Bells - Rill Rill

Sleigh Bells - Tell 'Em (Live at SXSW)

Sleigh Bells - A/B Machines (Live at SXSW, starts 1:09)
